The Estimator/Coordinator is responsible for administrative sales support, to enable the builder channel and multi-family estimations and development of appliance project proposals by analyzing project plans, blueprints, specifications, and other construction-related documents. This role involves gathering and evaluating data on key cost factors, including materials, labor, location, and project duration. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, exceptional organizational and planning skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in estimating project bidding activities:
- Support development, management, and coordination
- Manage bid invitations and bid boards
- Conduct project take-offs and estimations
- Match products to project requirements
- Prepare and update quotation proposals as needed
- Create submittal packages
- Maintain and manage ongoing proposals through different project stages
- Handle quoting, maintenance, and workflow in SAP
- Follow up on bids to gather competitive intelligence for the national sales team
- Develop value engineering and upgrade options
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on contract terms:
- Work with Accounts Receivable and Credit teams on payment terms and processes
- Coordinate with Risk Management on insurance terms and certificates, and request updates when needed
- Communicate and negotiate acceptable contract terms with external parties
- Ensure compliance through project completion and coordinate fully executed documents
- Assist Builder Account Managers with pre-delivery site meetings to ensure compliance with:
- Scope of work, Site readiness, Punch list process, Proof of delivery and sign-off procedures
- Attend initial and final project calls to support Builder Account Managers in project start and closeout
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Basic knowledge of the appliance and builder trade
- Experience in the multifamily industry is preferred
- Support for multifamily project bidding
- Ability to work and collaborate with internal cross-functional teams
- Comfortable working and communicating directly with builders and contractors
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma: university degree is preferred
- 2+ years of relevant experience
