As an Specialist, Insulin Pump Clinical your primary role is to generate new pump referrals by providing clinical support to prescribing insulin pump physicians and diabetes educators.
Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), or the equivalent combination or education and experience.
- Current Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) by National Certification Board of Diabetes Educators
- Recent adult insulin pump training experience (one-on-one and group sessions) is required and pediatric insulin pump training experience preferred
- Current certification(s) on available insulin pumps preferred
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian / Licensed Dietitian
- Excellent public speaking and presentations skills
- Possesses the skills to work independently and be self-directed
- Experience with developing relationships with physicians and/or other diabetes healthcare professionals
- Proficient with various Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Advanced knowledge of processing methodologies and medical terminology
- Knowledge of CCS Medical product line(s), general coverage, clinical criteria, regulatory and compliance standard
