Digital Manufacturing Manager

At Rockline, we are embarking on an exciting journey to drive the digital transformation of our manufacturing operations. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Manufacturing Manager to lead our digital manufacturing initiative across seven manufacturing sites. This role is critical to our vision of integrating Manufacturing 4.0 / IoT technologies to improve operational efficiency, product safety, and quality, and enhance our overall competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities



  • MES Implementation: Oversee the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across seven global sites, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and systems.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage cross-functional project teams to implement the MES and other key digital transformation initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: Identify and evaluate digital manufacturing technologies and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, IS, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless integration of digital solutions.
  • Communication: Frequently and transparently communicate plans, successes, and lessons with manufacturing associates and senior leadership.
  • Deployment of Digital Systems: Oversee the deployment of IoT, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, including predictive maintenance.
  • Cybersecurity: Collaborate with Information Services/Technology to maintain diligent cybersecurity to protect operations and assets.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the impact of digital initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to site personnel on digital manufacturing tools and technologies.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in digital manufacturing.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for digital manufacturing projects, ensuring cost-effective implementation.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of digital manufacturing innovation.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a digital manufacturing or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of digital manufacturing technologies, including MES, IoT, AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
  • Proven experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex, multi-site projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to digital manufacturing.
  • Experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
  • Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.).
