Job Title: Senior Account Manager

Location: Remote, candidates should reside in the SC/GA

Position Summary

This role is responsible for managing annual renewals, increasing district adoption of NWEA assessments, and identifying new product and service needs. Success in this position requires strong sales experience, in-depth knowledge of K-12 assessments, and a consultative approach to relationship management.

The Senior Account Manager will work closely with Account Executives and Partner Success Managers to ensure long-term district success while maximizing NWEA's impact on student learning. This position is remote but requires up to 50% travel for in-person meetings and events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary account contact for a portfolio of existing district partners.
  • Manage renewals and retention strategies through proactive relationship-building and data-driven outreach.
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities by uncovering district needs for additional NWEA products and services.
  • Develop and execute account growth plans to increase the number of students tested and expand NWEA's presence in districts.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with district stakeholders, ensuring high partner satisfaction.
  • Facilitate data consultations and sales presentations to demonstrate product value and impact.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Professional Learning and Marketing, to align solutions with district goals.
  • Utilize Salesforce to track pipeline activity, manage renewals, and drive expansion strategies.
  • Present pricing, credit, and contractual terms in accordance with company policies.
  • Travel up to 50% for in-person meetings, district events, and professional conferences.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proven success in account management, renewals, and revenue growth within the education market.
  • Strong sales experience, including the ability to drive upsells, cross-sells, and expansion within existing accounts.
  • Deep understanding of K-12 assessments, district decision-making processes, and funding cycles.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and consultative sales skills to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze district data and use insights to drive decision-making and engagement.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple accounts effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and negotiation experience.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM tools to manage opportunities, forecast growth, and track customer interactions.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 3+ years of account management and sales experience, ideally in K-12 education.
  • Experience working with NWEA products and assessment solutions is strongly preferred.

Salary Range - $80K - 95K + comissions
