JOB SUMMARY The Community Relations Specialist supports Louisville Water's efforts to promote the value of water through community partnerships and marketing initiatives. The specialist helps coordinate and execute strategic branding and outreach opportunities to elevate Louisville Water and the Louisville Pure Tap brand. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Assists with successful execution of partnership agreements by developing a strong familiarity with all partners and marketing agreements; overseeing payments, renewals, owed items, and opportunities; ongoing relationship building with partners and other community organizations; and representing Louisville Water to marketing partners through site visits, presentations and events Organizes and maintains partner database, capturing notes and sharing status updates. Takes initiative to follow up on action items and helps to hold team members and partners accountable for owed items. Develops a strong knowledge of Louisville Water's brand standards and helps execute branding opportunities with partners, including facilitating logistics for new installations and auditing existing assets Thinks strategically to help identify opportunities that align with Louisville Water's outreach goals. Coordinates and executes on-site partnership activations such as tabling opportunities and events. Collaborates across the department to help develop content, social media campaigns, or communication plans related to partnerships. Assists with other Pure Tap and/or Education & Outreach programming as needed. Helps with inventory management and product distribution. WORKING CONDITIONS This is a part-time position, not to exceed 20 hours per week or 100 hours per calendar month. Primarily in an office environment or off-site visiting community partners. Requires travel to various Louisville Water facilities and partner locations. Scheduling may include early morning, evening, and/or weekend hours to fulfill job duties. Must be able to comfortably lift up to 20 pounds. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent; and One (1) year of experience in public relations, communications, event planning or marketing; and a valid driver's license.
