About the Opportunity
DMI, LLC is seeking a Senior Windows Engineer to join us. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and execute system-based projects, including scripting to automate processes and creating system documentation and diagrams.
- Provide system administration and configuration for mission applications and software.
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows-based operating systems.
- Participate in Change Board and Technical Review Board meetings.
- Implement Change Requests based on customer requirements.
- Management of on-premises and cloud system environments.
- Collaborate with Operations Support, Network Infrastructure, Security Infrastructure, Project teams, Operations, and Product teams on Change, Incident, Problem, and Risk Management.
- Resolve complex issues during business hours, off-hour escalations, or maintenance activities.
- Proactively monitor system performance and plan for capacity needs.
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades and patches on servers, workstations, and network equipment.
- Create and modify scripts to perform various tasks.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- B.S. degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as a Windows Administrator.
Required and Desired Skills/Certifications:
- Strong experience with Windows Servers, SSL, GPO, scripting, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
- Expert-level Windows administration skills and knowledge.
- Experience deploying custom and COTS solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficiency in Windows Server troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with SSL certifications, DNS, TCP/IP, and network concepts.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell or similar languages.
Citizenship Status: US Citizen required Work Schedule: 24x7 coverage with weekly on-call rotation Location: Remote, US (preferably ET/CT zones)
