Interstate Power Systems is looking for an Outside Parts and Service Sales Representative to join our Carol Stream, Illinois location for the Off-Highway division. Experience in construction equipment, heavy-duty industrial equipment, and generators is highly preferred.

The primary function of this goal orientated sales position is to grow the service and parts revenue for Interstate Power System's Carol Stream branch. The qualified individual will grow revenue through the sales of a variety of Off-Highway equipment maintenance, parts, and repairs in an assigned territory to designated accounts.

This individual will provide customer support through a consultative approach leading to customer satisfaction and account loyalty.

Position Duties:



  • Increase the service & parts business by developing & maintaining relationships with new and existing accounts while also identifying new opportunities within the marketplace.
  • Promote total vehicle services for the regular maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles
  • Maintain a customer database through our CRM and prepare accurate fleet profiles and visit notes and other pertinent records for each assigned fleet and prospects to be followed up on
  • Contact each assigned account approximately every 30-45 days
  • Present proposals, create quotes and demonstrate the benefits and value proposition of Interstate's products and services.
  • Work closely with parts and service department managers to gain knowledge and to offer a coordinated approach to add value to our customer experience
  • Communicate effectively with department managers and Manager of Aftermarket Sales
  • Proactive in the use of internal and external software programs, websites, and sales training material

  • Knowledge of the transportation industry
  • Industry related contacts


Position Requirements:



  • Minimum of 3-5 years of outside sales experience in this or related industry.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • High degree of self-motivation
