Sheet Metal Mechanic Location: Greenville, SC Job ID: #70207 Pay Range: $34-38 Job Description: The Sheet Metal Mechanic supports activities around aircraft modification, specifically F-16 Production line structures and assembly. This includes both internal and external structures and surfaces for aircraft modification. All duties must be in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. Most mechanics will be actively drilling precision holes on aircraft. Minimum Bench work - Candidates need to understand this is hands on production work, climbing on fuselage parts, stands, kneeling, and on ladders/stands. This is a W2 contract opportunity, US Citizens or US Persons only. Responsibilities: Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs aircraft structures for aircraft modification Installing fasteners, drilling bulkheads, skins, and building up fuselage components Perform heavy Precision drilling, countersinking, and reaming precision holes Qualifications: Make sure resume clearly identifies the experience and years Drilling in an industrial work setting is mandatory to apply for the role 6-8 years minimum Aviation production drilling/structures work strongly preferred Bench Mechanics need to have other experience to support this work Must understand this is hands on production work, climbing on fuselage parts, stands, kneeling, and on ladders/stands Must be able to work any shift: Be prepared to work off-shifts Second or weekends a. 1st Shift: Mon-Thurs, 6:00am-4:30pm b. 2nd Shift: Mon-Thurs, 4:30pm-3:00am c.
