Description

Implement the launch of new and existing contract manufacturing products.

* Provides technical expertise to the customer related to Stoughton products including specifications, applications, system integration, competitive differences, etc.

* Identify, communicate, refine, and monitor development programs including field/fleet tests, engineering releases, product change implementation.

* Conduct technical training for the customer as needed.

* Key interface with the customer in resolving product and system integration issues by working with the customer's product engineering, test engineering, PPAP's, quality engineering and warranty departments.

* Assist Director, Contract Manufacturing in the overall growth strategy.

* Maintain and, where feasible, improve Stoughton's product and brand image by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, effective communication.

* Provide input to the customer/business strategy including technical feasibility.

Knowledge and Skills:

* On/Off Highway Industry Knowledge.

* Technical Sales, Engineering and Service Support.

* Strong ability to analyze technical drawings and specifications to accurately calculate the cost of manufacturing or fabricating a product.

* Dynamic project planner who understands materials, labor, equipment, and potential risks, to provide crucial pricing information for project bids.

* Self-starter capable of working independently but required to keep others informed of activities.

* Excellent written and oral communications skills and capable of formal and informal discussions at all levels of Stoughton and customers.

* Excellent problem-solving skills.

* Must be able to work and excel in a team environment.

* Basic understanding of major aspects of manufacturing fabrication and assembly as it relates to Design for Manufacturing.

* Proficient with SolidWorks or equivalent based CAD software.

* Microsoft Office Software: Excellent Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint & Word.

* Must have the ability to work at a fast pace, be open to trying new and different things, and express opinions regarding work methods. Take responsibility for mistakes.

* "Out of the Box" thinker with a competitive edge.

Qualifications

* Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering desired.

* Licenses/Certifications: None.

* Analytical reasoning- must be able to define the issue, weigh the options and select an action to resolve the situation.

* Problem Solving - Must be able to creatively think of a win/win solution to a problem, or determine that additional opinions are needed and seek them.

* Patience - Must be able to act responsibly and calmly in all business dealings with fellow employees, customers, and suppliers.

* Concise communication skills - Must be able to verbalize exactly what is meant.

* Computer skills - Knowledge of company computer system is vital in order to make use of the information for the research process to making a decision.

* Planning workload - Must be able to prioritize the workload to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel by car or plane for technical customer interface as needed - 40%
