Your overall mission as a Software Test, Engineer is to ensure testing and iterations of automation products efficiently within a short time to market. You are responsible for refining the requirements, verification, and documentation of the intended and actual behavior of our software products and the reporting of software opportunities. You will collaborate with the team before and throughout the development process to efficiently achieve the priorities and goals of the Product Engineers to maximize value to customers.

The Role:



  • Developing a data-driven approach to troubleshoot, verify, understand, and address field, production, and development issues and opportunities
  • Learn the user experience, report software opportunities, and document the behavior of Automation Software efficiently to set customers' expectations and reduce time to market with increased sustainability
  • Participate in the agile process including Discoveries, Backlog Grooming, Estimation, and Retrospective meetings
  • Collaboration within the agile Development team throughout (Before, During, and After) the development cycle to define, refine, and verify requirements
  • Preparation, review, and execution of test cases and reporting of defects and opportunities
  • Developing an understanding of networking concepts, Linux, Python, and other software automated testing tools
  • Support a consistent release train based on calendar release dates, not content. The number of major releases is to be a minimum of 3 a year
  • Testing process to include all Automation software products (Including RCS, SAMS, CAP, LinkOA, Etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Skills/ExperienceSpecial Knowledge, Certification, or License:



  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM field or the equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience testing software or machinery
  • An understanding of control system logic is desirable
  • An understanding of electronics and hydraulic systems
  • An understanding of RCS software, configurations, and options on RCS machines and devices is desirable

Required Physical Effort:



  • Light lifting required
  • Must be able to climb and move around on heavy drilling machinery while conducting tests
  • Travel to mine sites and conferences which may include overseas travel
