The Compensation Analyst is instrumental in supporting compensation initiatives to deliver a high-quality and meaningful people experience at Cambium. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Compensation, the Compensation Analyst will apply their proven analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills to support our goal of sustaining Cambium Learning as a competitive and attractive career destination. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building effective relationships with internal stakeholders, learning about compensation trends and emerging practices, and working as a team. This person will be responsible for providing compensation support and guidance to internal customers within your assigned functional areas of the organization. In collaboration with your team, you will play a vital role in supporting the administration and enhancement of our compensation programs, guidelines, and enterprise wide initiatives. Job Responsibilities:
Benchmark new and existing roles, appropriately assessing job function and job level to establish market-aligned and equitable compensation levels. Develop compensation change recommendations for promotions, market adjustments, and internal transfers within our established guidelines. Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to develop competitive and equitable offers. Foster positive and productive relationships with internal customers by offering proactive support, anticipating their needs, and ensuring all compensation requests are fulfilled. Leverage data to help inform, influence, and support the business's pay outcomes. Research industry trends and best practices to ensure our roles and our talent are compensated competitively, applying your data insights to guide our internal customers. Contribute to the development of communications, training, and education materials that articulate our compensation programs, guidelines, and related processes. Review, audit, and maintain job and compensation data integrity in Workday. Prepare compensation survey participation data. Participate in cyclical compensation projects including annual merit increases and bonuses, total rewards statements, and sales commission planning.
Job Requirements:
At least 2 years of experience in Compensation. Minimum 4 years of experience in Human Resources. Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience as a compensation professional. High sense of urgency and the ability to pivot in a changing environment. Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines and manage time effectively. Presentation skills to communicate analysis, recommendations, and guidance clearly. Attention to detail and commitment to quality, confidentiality, and data privacy. Exceptional financial acumen. Positive, can-do attitude and ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with internal customers and stakeholders. Thorough knowledge of FLSA regulations. Advanced Excel and modeling skills. Workday HRIS experience is Preferred CCP or progress toward certification desired
