Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Cardiac Cath Team Leader, the Radiology Technologist will perform specialized radiology procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab). This role involves utilizing advanced imaging technology to support cardiac procedures while adhering to the highest standards of radiation safety and quality care. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide optimal care in the Cardiac Cath Lab and may also assist in other areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital as needed. Key Responsibilities: Cath Lab Radiology Procedures: Perform a variety of radiology procedures specific to the Cardiac Cath Lab, including angiograms, coronary angiography, and other cardiac imaging techniques, maintaining the highest standards of image quality and radiation safety. Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with the Cardiac Cath Team Leader, resource nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operations, exceptional patient care, and optimized resources in the Cath Lab. Flexibility in Other Areas: Assist in other departments and areas of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital as needed, providing radiology support to various medical teams. Compliance & Safety Standards: Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulations concerning radiology practices, particularly in radiation safety and patient confidentiality. Equipment Checks & Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain Cath Lab imaging equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and safely. Cross-Training & Staff Support: Assist with cross-training staff as assigned to promote team versatility and coverage in the Cath Lab. Support Hospital Mission & Values: Support the Cath Lab team in initiatives and projects that align with the mission, vision, and values of Oklahoma Heart Hospital, ensuring top-notch patient care and operational excellence. Working Knowledge: Able to perform at a proficient level all radiology procedures related to the cardiac cath lab in both acute and stable patients. Able to scrub, assist, and perform all other tasks as needed to perform all cases in the cath lab to include electro physiology, pacemakers, implantable defibrillators, and interventions within the scope of practice.
