Job Description

As part of Player Development, the Minor League Hitting Coach is responsible for the comprehensive development of the Club's minor league hitters through detailed pre-game preparation, in-game adjustments and post-game feedback. This role supports and implements the organization's skill development strategy into daily programming by emphasizing individual development paths and designing training environments to maximize player performance. This position requires technical expertise and the ability to partner with affiliate staff, front office and the players to contribute to holistic development opportunities.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

    Maintain organizational development plans for each hitter as set by front office, rovers and field staff.
  • Assist hitters in game preparation that includes, but is not limited to, pre-game routines, batting practice, and individual hitting sessions.
  • Lead comprehensive discussions with hitters around their prescribed development focuses in a digestible and actionable manner.

The ideal candidate will have three years of baseball-related coaching and/or playing experience. Candidates with existing knowledge and demonstrated history applying ball flight tracking technology, bat sensors, force plates and/or biomechanics reports are preferred.
