Your Opportunity

Summary Description:

• Inspect and grade trays of products to make sure they meet the quality specifications.
• Inspect product packaging for legible code dates, straight labels and loose product.
• Communicate effectively with machine operators to reduce the amount of preventable rejected product.
• Place specified amount of product neatly in box, facing the same direction.
• Feed boxes into automated tape machine.
• Stack boxes in a neat and organized manner on pallets.
• Other typical packaging duties including cleaning the lines and sweeping the area at the end of the shift or as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and productive work environment.
• Follow our color code system in regard to food safety.
• Verify top and bottom labels against the laminated specification sheets.
• Other duties as directed by your Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

Food safety and quality are the responsibility of every individual working at Kansas City Sausage Company. You are expected to:

• Follow USDA/SQF and GMP guidelines.
• Stay focused on quality while maintaining speed.
• Be able to work in a 38F environment.
• Ability to stand 8+ hours per day.
• Lift up to 50lbs
