The Supply Chain Technician is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate processing and delivery of supplies within the facility. Depending on the SC Technician's home department, the specific duties listed below may vary. Additional duties as assigned. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High school graduate or equivalent; Storeroom experience is preferred. CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE If driving a Mercy vehicle is required, applicant must have a driving record that is insurable under Mercyhealth's insurance coverage guidelines. Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record per Mercy's HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy. Position is subject to annual driving record background checks per Mercy's HR-01 Fleet Safety Policy. The Technician must maintain a valid driver's license. Driving a Mercy vehicle is specifically required in the following departments: Janesville Distribution Center ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check Must be able to follow written/oral instructions. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES Effective interpersonal/communication skills -Ability to work with internal customers in assessing their needs and the most appropriate solution. Ability to effectively use applicable MMIS system - Ability to perform assigned tasks using a desk top computer or mobile device. WORK ENVIRONMENT The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Occupational Exposure: Category A -All partners in the specified job classification have occupational exposure. INFORMATION ACCESS Partner may access data needed to perform their job duties as directed by the Manager or Director. WORK CONTACT GROUP Supply Chain coworkers and other hospital and clinic staff. SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS The Special Physical Demands are considered Essential Job Functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, and feel; Also, to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, stand, walk, or sit. The employee is regularly required to lift 25 lbs and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to chest,.
