Our multidisciplinary teams work rapidly to provide collaborative care for critical injuries, with the ultimate goal of helping patients return home with restored health and function.

About Trenton Hospital

This Magnet-designated facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients and is one of four recipients of the Truven Health Advantage Award in the category of Health and Clinical Outcomes. It is home to nine university affiliated residency programs. Here, you will find a Level II trauma center that is a nationally recognized heart, vascular and pulmonary specialties along with other specialties like orthopedics, neurosurgery, and women's health.

Scope of work

The Trauma Program Manager is an RN responsible for monitoring and coordinating all trauma services and system elements to ensure an organized multidisciplinary team approach to quality care of the trauma patient. This involvement begins with pre-hospital care and extends though reintegration into society. This Team Member will report to the Administrative Director of Surgical Services and/or the Trauma Medical Director.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY will include Trauma program practice, administration, education, quality improvement, and research.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (BSN) Required.
  • Master's degree (MSN) Preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant Emergency Center or critical care experience, Required.
  • Leadership experience Preferred.
  • Experience in education program development Preferred.
  • Experience in research methodology Preferred.
  • Experience with trauma registry Preferred.
  • MI RN license Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
