JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursingseeks applications for a full-timenon-tenure line faculty memberin the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Programwithin the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at the University Park campus. Travel to other campuses may be necessary. This will be a full-time thirty-six-week appointment with full benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to teach fall and spring semesters with an anticipated start date as early as August 2024.This is a limited-term position funded for one year, with excellent chances of renewal. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in-person and online, clinical supervision, serving on student doctoral committees, advising students, and other service and scholarly activities. The position will be filled at the Assistant Teaching Professor or higher rank based upon the credentials of the successful candidate. This position requires national certification as a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, a PA State license as a Acute Care CRNP (or be eligible for PA licensure), and a minimum of one year of experience as a CRNP. Candidates must be prepared at the doctorate level. Teaching experience is preferred. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the clearance.
