Job Description

Summary: Do you have experience playing baseball or softball? Have you ever watched a Milwaukee Brewers game and thought to yourself "I can make that play!"? If so, the Milwaukee Brewers want you to join our gameday entertainment seasonal ball attendant staff. Brewers ball attendants play a vital role in the Club's gameday experience, assisting players, coaches, and even the fan experience. Ball Attendants also represent the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club throughout the state at community appearances.

As a member of our inaugural Ball Attendant team, you will not only be a part of the on-field experience, but you will also be a representative of the Brewers brand both inside and outside of the ballpark, helping to create great memories for Brewers fans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned.

    Fielding foul balls hit during the game; making judgment calls on if a ball will remain fair and avoiding interference with players/ umpires
  • Playing catch with outfielders' in-between innings
  • Retrieving jackets from bullpens and returning them to the dugout during inning breaks or pitching changes
  • Interacting with fans, team personnel and other guests in a positive manner that aligns with Club values
  • Playing catch with ceremonial first pitch guests
  • Assisting the Entertainment Department with activations as needed such as Kids Base Run and Senior Stroll
  • Representing the Brewers at community events such as baseball/ softball clinics or mascot appearances

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
  • Candidates must be able to catch, throw, and field balls in play
  • Candidates must have reliable transportation and live in Milwaukee area year-round
  • Candidates must be willing to provide availability for a minimum of 50% of home games each month
  • Candidate should be extremely friendly, outgoing, energetic, and have a positive, "can-do" attitude
  • Candidates should bring an on-going creativity to the role by looking at ways to reinvent themselves
  • Must conduct themselves in a professional manner and be able to respond quickly and thoughtfully to any situation
  • Candidates must be available for an audition at American Family Field on 1/19/2025. Auditions include, but are not limited to, game-day tasks such as fielding balls, throwing, catching, and communication as a Brewers brand ambassador
  • Selected candidates will be required to attend an in-person orientation prior to the start of the season

Work Hours

Must be available to work at least 5 games per month, arriving 2 hours prior to game time. Must be available to work at least 3 mascot appearance per month. Having a flexible schedule that allows for working some or all weekday day games is a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
