What We Do Participates in the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software code for business applications. Responsible for middle-tier implementation and integration with backend databases. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and develops specifications to resolve them. Participates in the development of software user manuals. HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE Contribute to design, development, coding, testing, debugging, and deploying of software in an Azure cloud environment. Modify and enhance existing applications as well as assist the team on product delivery by writing code and reviewing pull requests. Independently define, prioritize goals and tasks in a fast-paced agile product environment with small, focused teams. Communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to ensure project success. On call by rotation and after-hours support driven by business needs. Derive optimal solutions and implement best coding practices. Work with Solution Architect and strategize design plans. Propose solutions to tough problems, build consensus among team & mentor junior developers. WHAT YOU'LL BRING Required Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure 4+ years of experience in cloud-native applications (Azure strongly preferred, AWS is also ok) using Python. Thorough understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design and practices. Strong RDBMS experience (PostgreSQL, MS SQL etc.) designing tables & writing queries. NoSQL experience is a strong plus. Familiarity with design patterns. Conduct code reviews to ensure best coding practices are utilized. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs) Strong knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps. Fluency with multi-platform software utilizing various programming environments and tools. Excellent communication and written skills. Eager to learn new languages and technologies. TECHNOLOGY: Python, Ruby, Azure, React,JavaScript/TypeScript, REST API, Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.), NoSQL Databases (MongoDB etc.). DEVELOPMENT TOOLS: Docker, Linux, Windows, Azure, GIT, NPM Package Management. Salary Range: $126,100.00-$168,100.00 This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
