Advantage Resourcing is hiring a Senior Cost Estimator in Monroe, LA. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in providing accurate cost estimates and identifying cost-saving opportunities for a major project. Pay: $130,000 per year Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM The Senior Cost Estimator will develop and maintain detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to ensure cost efficiency, identify risks, and align estimates with project goals. Responsibilities: Develop cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overhead. Review technical drawings (P&IDs, material take-offs) for accuracy. Align estimates with AACE standards and industry best practices. Collaborate with procurement teams for cost-effective sourcing. Identify and mitigate cost risks. Track progress and report discrepancies. Recommend cost-saving opportunities and maintain accurate records. Ensure compliance with safety standards and project policies. Qualifications: 10+ years in cost estimation or cost engineering, preferably in engineering or construction. Experience with projects over $100 million USD. Proficiency in cost estimation software. Member of a professional body (ACOSTE, APM, ICEAA). Strong understanding of AACE Class estimates and cost estimation methods (e.g., parametric, bottom-up). Ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
