Plastatech Engineering has an opening for a Production Supervisor on 3rd Shift at their manufacturing facility which is located in Saginaw, Michigan. This is a full-time position that offers a great working environment, excellent benefits and opportunities for advancement. The hours can vary from 7:00pm - 7:00am OR 11:00pm - 7:00am with a 3rd shift premium of $1.50 per hour. The average starting salary for this position ranges between $62,000 - 70,000 based upon experience. This position is also eligible for the VIP Bonus Program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Train and coach employees to operate equipment safely in their respective job assignments and follow all safety / equipment standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead, support, and hold employees accountable to produce high quality products.
  • Monitor production to eliminate defects ensuring the customer receives a quality, defect free product.
  • Monitor scrap and execute plans to minimize scrap in all areas.
  • Responsible for shift OEE and optimal equipment output.
  • Write and give employee performance reviews and, when necessary, administer disciplinary action.
  • Supports Lean, 5S, and World Class initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of 3-5 years of manufacturing supervisor or lead coordinator experience is required.
  • Previous experience in a Lean manufacturing environment to include; Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Kanban and Root Cause Analysis is highly desired.
  • Safety and quality oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be detail-oriented.
  • Ability to schedule production.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to motivate others.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Must be flexible with schedule and able to work any shift.
