Patient Care Associate - Radiology

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Patient Care Associate functions within the policies and procedures of Surgical Services. This position encompasses both the clinical and technical activities of assisting with patient care, before, during and after surgical procedures to include but not limited to patient and family communication, patient transport, vital signs, equipment and room preparation and maintenance, laboratory specimen handling and clerical work. The Patient Care Associate will work closely with Surgical Services staff. He/she helps maintain a safe and clean physical work environment. The Patient Care Associate works under the direction and supervision of OR Leadership and follow through on all other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED.

EXPERIENCE:
Previous patient care experience; knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
