Position: Quality Engineer
Location: Savannah, GA 31302
Pay Range: $70-$80k/yr.

Our Client is a leading automotive parts manufacturing company specializing in precision injection molding solutions. Dedicated to innovation and excellence, our primary focus involves offering Tier 1 manufacturing support to the automotive OEM's. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in our automotive manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for implementing and supporting quality control processes, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product quality and customer satisfaction.

Work Schedule:


  • Monday - Friday 6:30am to 3:30pm, with flexibility for overtime as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, products, and materials to identify and address quality issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of defects and non-conformities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive process improvements.
  • Utilize statistical analysis and quality tools to monitor process performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Manage supplier quality by conducting audits, evaluating supplier performance, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Support the implementation of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for new product launches.
  • Participate in customer audits and address customer concerns regarding product quality and reliability.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in quality engineering within the automotive manufacturing industry
  • Experience with headliner and interior automotive parts including Door trim, trunk trim.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, statistical analysis, and quality tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).
  • Strong understanding of automotive quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in supplier quality management and conducting supplier audits is preferred.
  • Certification in quality engineering (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
