DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will collaborate closely with department leadership, including district executives, bureau directors, and personnel within the Performance Metric Unit (PMU), to enhance productivity and propose modifications to procedures, structures, processes, and management practices. Your responsibilities will include managing the technical aspects of PennDOT's program areas, optimizing the functionality of the Commonwealth's SAP ERP system and other data sources, aiding in the development and execution of effective maintenance management practices, conducting program analysis, research, forecasting, evaluation, and planning for operational enhancements, engaging in the planning and execution of initiatives, and overseeing communications with stakeholders across the department. Furthermore, you will prepare and track reports that fulfill Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) or other organizational performance metric requirements; create reports, tables, charts, and graphs to convey complex analyses, plans, and recommendations aimed at improving agency operations; and develop analyses and presentations related to innovative, collaborative, and improvement program outcomes and progress towards the agency's goals and objectives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS)
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Program Analyst 1; or
  • Two years of analytical experience, one of which includes professional experience in program evaluation and the development of program recommendations, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
