DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this position, you will engage directly with customers to confirm applicant identification, ensure the completion of application forms, and input data into online driver license application software. You will conduct standardized knowledge assessments to gauge the applicant's comprehension of the Vehicle Code, driving regulations, and relevant traffic control devices. Additionally, you will perform vision screenings for visual acuity on all applicants using a telebinocular instrument. You will also record applicant test outcomes and customer applications for driver license services into online software systems via a PC terminal. It is essential to strictly follow all elements of the Driver and Vehicle Services' Customer Service Policy. You will be responsible for accurately applying and documenting the appropriate fee waiver code whenever a fee waiver is required for processing customer transactions, ensuring compliance with all Fee Waiver Guidelines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 80 hours bi-weekly
- Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
