THE POSITION

You will be instrumental in enhancing highway safety by administering the application and knowledge testing for Pennsylvania's commercial and non-commercial driver licensing program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will engage directly with clients to confirm applicant identity, complete application forms, and input data into online driver license application software. You will conduct standardized knowledge assessments to assess applicants' comprehension of the vehicle code, driving regulations, and related traffic control devices. Additionally, you will aid in vision screenings for visual acuity using a tele-binocular device for all applicants.

Your duties will involve inputting applicant test outcomes and customer applications for driver license services into online software systems via a computer. Your responsibilities will strictly adhere to the customer service policy of Driver and Vehicle Services. It is imperative that you ensure the accurate use and documentation of fee waiver codes whenever necessary for processing customer transactions, in accordance with fee waiver guidelines.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position may require overtime and travel.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
