THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Ebensburg Center is seeking an experienced and passionate training professional to join our management team. As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to enhance and strengthen our current training programs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the individuals who call our center home. Your contributions will pay a vital role in helping individuals with intellectual disabilities develop and implement the skills necessary for independent and fulfilling lives in the community. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be assisting with the overall training goals, plans, and requirements for the Ebensburg Center. As a member of the management team, you will be responsible for the development and evaluation of various training courses for the staff. This will include general orientation, refresher training, and new training. You will also attend meetings and conferences and participate in assorted committees. In addition, you will create databases to track the training activities and needs of the center.

- Full-time employment (37.5 hours a week)
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Overtime as operationally necessary
- Travel: Infrequent travel may be required
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience developing, teaching, or evaluating training or educational course work, and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
