HIM Document Analyst
Overview NOW HIRING A HIM Document Analyst In order to allow for timely completion of the medical record, the Chart Completion Analyst will review each discharged patients record for incomplete or missing items, identify the responsible provider for each of these items, and link the deficiencies to the appropriate physician for completion. They will be responsible for monitoring the reanalysis queue to ensure all records are completed appropriately. The chart completion analyst will be responsible for verifying chart completion and doing the quantitative analysis of each inpatient, Skilled Nursing Facility Unit, ambulatory surgery, and GI lab medical record based upon standards established by JCAHO, CMS and the Medical Staff Rules and Regulations. Full Time - Exempt: No
Ideal Candidate/Prefer Qualifications: Two to five years relevant experience, with at least one year of experience, two preferred in an acute care setting with primary responsibility for maintaining document requirements. Demonstrated competency in all areas of Medical Records, especially in the area of medical record completion and discharge analysis. Previous experience with electronic patient record preferred.
