Clinical Coordinator (MSN Required)

Hondros College of Nursing is seeking a dynamic MSN prepared Nurse for a Clinical Coordinator role at our Columbus Campus!
Responsibilities:
- Serving as the point of contact and liaison for all clinical sites utilized by the campus
- Establishing and securing the clinical sites needed to implement the clinical component of the nursing programs
- Soliciting ideas for potential clinical sites from faculty, administration and staff and completing an assessment of the clinical site in relation to curricular and course outcomes
- Making clinical site visits during student experiences ensuring all requirements delineated within clinical affiliation agreements are upheld
- Developing effective business relationships and facilitating clear communication with clinical leadership
- Securing clinical sites to assure full implementation of the clinical component of the nursing programs
- Collaborating with course faculty to coordinate and arrange for the preceptorship experience
- Meeting regularly with Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing and Campus Executive Director to forecast clinical site needs in the market
- Acting as an ambassador for the College in all interactions with clinical facilities, clinical faculty, students and others
- Completing assessments of potential sites through site visits, census assessments, and course evaluations
- Documenting findings and making recommendations for future site utilization
- Developing and facilitating Clinical Appreciation Day
- Coordinating ordering and distribution of clinical facility appreciation gifts
- Establishing and participating in regular meetings with all clinical sites
- Communicating issues, concerns and needs related to use of clinical sites with Director of Nursing in a timely manner
- Performing quarterly site visits during clinical experiences as agreed upon with Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing to observe and evaluate clinical component of the curriculum
- Maintaining awareness of student and faculty evaluations of clinical sites in determining appropriateness of sites in implementing the clinical component of the curriculum
- Sharing results with clinical sites in a positive and professional manner with the goal of improving the educational experience and quality of care provided
- Coordinating Career Fairs at the College and clinical site
- Recruiting faculty to grow the College's roster of potential faculty
- Promoting the Hondros College RN-BSN program to clinical site staff nurses
- Accepting equipment donations for campus nursing labs
Requirements:
- Master's Degree with a major in nursing.
- At least two years full-time in the practice of nursing as a Registered Nurse or part-time equivalent
- Prior teaching in a professional nursing program preferred
- Active, unencumbered licensure in the State of OH as a Registered Nurse
- Current American Heart Association compliant Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
