*Description:* The Product Safety Engineering group seeks an experienced power adapter/power supply unit Product Safety Certification Engineer who will: * Provide expertise to review the application of standards, test procedures, and certification requirements. * Participate in "kick-off" meetings to ensure the regional safety team and test lab are fully aware of the test plan, schedule and samples are properly configured for test. * Communicate project status to lab management and cross-functional team effectively. * Read and determine the applicability of national codes, regional requirements, and respective standards clauses. * Review safety test reports and work with test lab and regional teams on the certification efforts. * Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Exec Relations, Hardware Engineering, Reliability, Legal, and our technicians. * Engage in continuous improvement of evaluation methods and standardized processes. * Work well (and thrive) under pressure, tight deadlines, and ambiguous circumstances. * Deliver executive briefings and develop finished products to inform and guide product decisions across our client's ecosystem. * Generate data and feedback to influence new designs and/or PRQs at the system and module levels. * Embark on international and domestic travel up to 15% of the time, as business needs dictate. *Requirements:* * Possess 5+ years of experience in product safety evaluation and testing of the power supply units and/or power adapters as per IEC 60950-1 and IEC 62368-1. * Strong working knowledge of testing in accordance with standards and requirements. Core tests include, but are not limited to, power input, leakage current, dielectric, temperature, stability, mechanical hazards, flammability, abnormal and single fault, IP testing, and others as applicable per project and compliance requirements. * Expertise in performing safety design reviews and providing technical feedback to the team. * Experience in reading and determining the applicability of national codes, regional requirements, and respective standards clauses. * Experience working with overseas Manufacturing and Vendor Management is highly desirable. * Superlative written and spoken communication skills, with a proclivity for action * Strong hunger factor and courageous spirit with a proclivity towards action and creative problem-solving in a fast-paced environment. *Education:* * A bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent) is preferred. * Proven experience in lieu of education shall be considered on a case-by-case basis. o Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
