As a clinical recruiter with a nursing focus, you'll play a pivotal role in identifying exceptional nursing and nursing support professionals who align with our organization's values and mission. In this full-cycle recruitment role, you'll manage the entire recruitment process including sourcing of candidates, interviews and salary negotiations. In addition, you'll represent UnityPoint Health at local career events and engage with students to promote careers in healthcare.

Location:Candidates have the option to work remotely; however, they are required to reside in the Des Moines metropolitan area to enable participation in local career fairs and student engagement activities.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Establishes recruiting strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates for assigned positions.
  • Leverages varied recruiting platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Social Media) and strategies (creative marketing, diversity outlets, recruiting events) to develop candidate pipeline and market UPH opportunities.
  • Facilitates position intake meetings with hiring leaders to confirm/calibrate position requirements and develop recruiting strategy.
  • Responsible for on-going process improvements in recruitment, onboarding, employment, and diversity.
  • Participates in community outreach as a representative of UnityPoint Health in the way of mock interviewing, resumes writing seminars, junior and high school presentations,
  • Builds relationships and partnerships with talent acquisition team members system-wide to share in strategy and best practices.
  • Develops, participates and drives projects and initiatives both within region and across the system to provide exposure, career growth, visibility, and opportunities to team members.

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field OR Equivalent education and/or experience.

Experience:

  • Required:
    • Minimum of 1 year of recruitment or equivalent experience.
    • 1 year of experience conducting sourcing or passive candidate recruitment activities.
  • Preferred:
    • Prior healthcare/nursing recruitment or staffing company experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
  • Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
  • Multicultural sensitivity.
  • Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
  • Advanced reading, writing and oral skills.
  • Ability to utilize PC including, basic elements of Windows environment, keyboarding, work with mouse, and perform basic computer tasks with instruction.
  • Preferred:
    • Proficient in Lawson HRIS Systems.
    • Proficient in ICIMS Recruitment Software.
