Summary:

Under the supervision of Supply Chain Procure to Pay and Strategy Leadership * Supervisor Supply Chain Operations is responsible for the general supervision of Supply Chain Specialists. Orients trains assigns work maintains work schedules and evaluates performance of staff in keeping with established policies procedures and standards of practice in their respective areas of responsibilities. Participates in the development and implementation of policies procedures and process improvements.

Supervising assignments supporting Supply Chain Procurement Value Analysis Logistics and Informatics. Assignments may include oversight into sourcing creation of financial comparisons building and maintain contact documentation monitoring compliance assistance with contract renewals extensions terminations and contract reporting. Operational standards must provide a high-level of customer service and operational support to the caregivers and departments Supply Chain supports across all BUH facilities.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for high-quality employee training directly and through delegation and shadowing other employees.

* Leads and fosters supportive relationships with other Supply Chain teams.

* Assists Supply Chain Procurement Specialists with prioritization and problem resolution as issues occur such as authorizing urgent requisitions accommodating emergency or priority requests or adjusting assignments

* Leads and monitors contract compliance associated with GPO and other committed agreements.

* Manages vendor activities and maintains both new and existing vendor relationships.

* Participates in the recruitment retention performance enhancement and competency assessment of staff in collaboration with Supply Chain Procure to Pay and Strategy leadership.

* Ensures compliance to established standards policies and procedures. Provides actionable feedback to employees to promote effective teamwork and satisfaction in the workplace in consultation with Supply Chain Logistics Manager.

* Documents and addresses employee concerns related to work performance attendance or any other disciplinary problems. Measures beyond verbal communication or for egregious acts will be forwarded to a Supply Chain Procure to Pay and Strategy Leadership for assessment and formal discipline

* Regularly performs duties of employees to assist with workloads.

* Responsible for technical policy and procedure and communication training for assigned areas.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Development and implementation of a continuous quality improvement system

* Customer centric focus and operations to support customer centric operations

* Fiscal responsibility and oversight

* Positive feedback from and relationships with colleagues and staff

    Other information:

    BASIC KNOWLEDGE:

    * Associates Degree in related field or four years of related healthcare Supply Chain experience.

    * Mature and effective verbal and written communication skills

    * Knowledge of applicable systems and Microsoft Offices products

    * Basic knowledge of medical terminology

    * An elevated level of people skills to effectively represent BUH and Supply Chain in interaction with all levels of personnel within and outside the organization.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of four years progressively more responsible related management experience preferably gained in a similarly diverse and operationally complex health care environment.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    Supervisory responsibility for up to 15 FTEs
