Carnegie Mellon University: Mellon College of Science: Biological Sciences Location Pittsburgh, PA Open Date Nov 15, 2024 Description The Hinman lab at Carnegie Mellon University is seeking a motivated postdoctoral scientist to join our research team studying the evolution of developmental gene regulation in echinoderms. Ongoing projects focus on using comparative single cell transcriptomics to identify conserved gene regulatory network modules and explore network-cooption in the context of novel trait evolution. Qualifications A PhD or equivalent in biological sciences, or any related field is required. Applicants are expected to have a background in echinoderm development as well as experience collecting, processing and analyzing single nucleus RNA-seq data. Additional skillsets in microinjection, in situ hybridization, and echinoderm husbandry are also required.
