Chicago, IllinoisAdd to Favorite Jobs Email this Job The Department of Pathology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Team Scientist at the rank of Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include productive team building, including collaborating, uniting and advancing multi-disciplinary research teams to address complex questions in oncology that cannot be addressed effectively individually. The position will create new methods for bringing together basic researchers, population scientists and clinical investigators together into successful research teams and implementing new programs in collaboration with the Lurie Cancer Center and the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science. The position will be responsible building teams and advancing efforts in cancer related to discovery, education and training, clinical care, clinicopathological investigation, therapeutic advances, addressing adverse events, clinical outcomes and survivorship. There will be opportunities to participate in graduate student, medical student and resident/fellow teaching and mentoring, as well as service on department, school or university committees. Qualified candidates will possess an MD or PhD and have an outstanding track record in team building and oncology. Facilities: The Pathology Department includes over 75 clinical faculty and 19 research faculty conducting research in inflammation, immunology, cancer, neuropathology, and computational pathology. Our healthcare system includes 7 medical laboratories spread over the Chicago area, handling over 120,000 cases annually. The department has strong research collaborations across Northwestern University, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center.
