Description

This is a full-time day shift position working 4 days during the week and one day on the weekend. This employee will primarily work in the West Los Angeles area.

Our dedicated Patrol Officers work in West Los Angeles, the Los Feliz area and the San Fernando Valley responding to any alarms in our network, on a 24/7 hour basis.

The Watch Commander is responsible for providing leadership, field and administrative support to assigned shift Patrol personnel. They ensure the beat is properly covered and sufficient resources are deployed to comply with client contractual requirements and management directives, and all policies and procedures are followed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for all activity that occurs during assigned shift within all beat areas.

* Schedules and assigns Patrol Officers to areas

* Assumes responsibilities of Patrol Officers during their absence, working full time in a variety of beats.

* Monitors team members arrival and departure times

* Maintains a positive relationship with clients and the community.

* Elevates issues to Patrol Management

* Evaluates and inspects subordinate officers in the field reviewing their uniforms/equipment/permits

* In collaboration with Human Resources and Patrol Management, assists in coaching and counseling staff as necessary. * Maintains all daily paperwork associated with the area such as DARs, PR Reports, Drop Cards, and Incident Reports. Reviews all required paperwork for completion, NowForce patrols, and Vacation Watches.

* Supports training in the field to ensure that subordinates are thoroughly knowledgeable of ACS policies and procedures, state and local enforcement regulations, and ensures that Patrol Officer skills are current.


Qualifications

* Must have 3 years of patrol experience in a leadership role

* Experience leading a staff of employees, directing their work schedules and responsibilities, providing formal training and handling first level performance management.

Skills:

* Basic knowledge of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and payroll software.

* Strong ability to address client concerns and resolve issues effectively

* Experience managing schedules

* Experience supervising a large staff of officers, providing guidance and to them and ensuring compliance with company and government standards
