Job Summary

The Office of Real Property Asset Management and Planning within County Administration seeks a well-organized, energetic, proactive candidate to serve as an Administrative Manager overseeing the administrative operations and processes of the Office to include human resources, payroll, purchasing, office coordination, and administrative support to the Office Director. This position also functions as the department's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) coordinator. The Office of Real Property Asset Management and Planning's mission is to support and coordinate the County's land acquisition, disposition, leasing and management needs to accomplish the Board's vision through the Capital Improvement Program and to manage the County's assets and public-private partnership opportunities. Sample work activities include:

  • Provides administrative support to the Office Director;
  • Manages recruitment activities including coordinating job interviews, background checks, and other related human resources functions for the Office;
  • With support from Office leadership, manages and submits Board staff reports and related products to County Administration and coordinates the review process;
  • Supports the development of data and reports; and
  • Ensures administrative support to the Office's processes and projects.
Successful candidate will be fully knowledgeable about standard administrative programs, policies, procedures, and office management practices. Candidate will possess an ability to recognize and proactively respond to needs resulting from the Office's workload, deadlines, and staffing levels. Candidate will have capacity to understand requirements of FOIA. Candidate will be able to establish and maintain productive working relationships with department staff and staff throughout the County Government. Must be able to work independently and have demonstrated ability to meet stringent deadlines. Solid organizational and time management skills are required.

Hiring salary is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree; three (3) years of related administrative work experience in a business or government setting including one (1) year of supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
