Job Purpose

The Senior Marketing Specialist will lead and manage strategic marketing initiatives to support the parts business and oversees the battery program for Honda and Acura. This role is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing marketing programs that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth. The Senior Marketing Specialist will prepare comprehensive marketing plans based on market research data, generate and justify project proposals to executives, and oversee the launch of marketing campaigns. This includes setting sales targets, coordinating promotional activities, and reporting on results. The role also involves implementing the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle to continuously improve marketing strategies and ensure alignment with business objectives and market trends.

Additionally, the Senior Marketing Specialist will be responsible for initiating and managing new programs or projects related to Parts Service and Technical operations, enhancing dealer loyalty, and preparing for the BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle) era and future advancements. This position requires a blend of creativity, analytical skills, and industry knowledge to effectively promote the parts business and achieve measurable results.

Key Accountabilities

Marketing Campaign Effectiveness: Measure the success of marketing campaigns through metrics such as ROI, conversion rates and customer engagement levels. 30%

Market Research and Planning: Conduct & analyze market research to inform marketing strategies. Develop comprehensive marketing plans based on data-driven insights. Battery Business Program Management and strategy creation for Ki and Midterm Planning 20%

Project Proposals and Justification: Generate and present project proposals to executives. Secure approval and funding for new marketing initiatives. Auto Retail Parts Business Analysis and Reporting in the context of business growth. Work closely with Field as the SME to the Retail Parts Business.

Program and Project Management: Oversee the launch and execution of marketing programs and projects. Ensure timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Cabin Filter/ Wiper/ Engine Filter Promotion Management 15%

Promotional Activities Coordination: Plan and coordinate promotional activities to support marketing campaigns. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of these activities. Maintenance Parts Promotion and Sales support 10%

Reporting and PDCA: Regularly report on marketing performance and outcomes. Implement the PDCA cycle to continuously improve marketing strategies. Division and Department Projects for Parts Marketing 10%

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Statistics or related field.
  • A Master's degree or MBA is preferred but not required.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in combination of automotive sales, parts, service, marketing, research, strategic planning and campaign management
  • Experience in automotive or parts industry is highly desirable
  • 5+ years of project management
  • Strong project planning, organizing and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills (required) and presentation skills, with the ability to justify project proposals to executives.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms
  • Process management skills such as SWOT Analysis
  • Experience with PDCA cycle implementation is a plus
  • Data extraction and analysis skills
  • Proficiency with MS Project, Teams, Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel
