EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required
  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Education, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience

  • 4 years of experience in a healthcare environment. and

    1 year experience in the actual development and use of training methods, techniques, and materials.

JOB DUTIES
  • Develops effective training materials (including visual aids and manuals) to support classroom activities.
  • Conducts and facilitates effective training sessions.
  • Participates in the testing of new applications and enhancements to ensure integrity and quality of data in training materials.
  • Provides to management insight into the overall direction and scope of the training department. Develops curriculum, lesson plans and other appropriate methods of presentation to ensure all staff development educational goals are met.
  • Coordinates and conducts training sessions on complex facilities maintenance, safety procedures, compliance, and associated computer software if required.
  • Maintains records of training activities and evaluates applicability and effectiveness of programs.
  • Recommends policies and procedures relating to training activities.
  • Prepares required and ad hoc reports for management review.
  • Attends professional meetings, training seminars, and conferences when appropriate.
  • Confers with management to determine need for, and scope of, new employee orientation and other training and educational programs for employee groups of the institution.
  • May assists consultants in the areas of organizational development and training to Human Resources in support of all departments within the institution.
  • Assists in the research, design, and development of management development training curriculum. Assists in the preparation of training analysis. Supports the design and implementation of metrics instruments to evaluate the effectiveness of training curriculum.
  • Remains current in evaluating new ideas and classes, as well as new training techniques to present management with up-to-date information and options.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
