Job Overview

The Accounting and Financial Systems Analyst position is responsible for assisting the accounting and finance teams with process improvement projects. The position will assist with all accounting processes, SAP system maintenance, month-end close, and financial reporting. The position will also develop skills to serve as the internal expert on the general ledger and business processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Assists with routine financial accounting processes including accounting and finance master data creation/maintenance, journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations

* Assist with SOX control documentation, audit walkthroughs, and audit support

* Compile and create accounting and finance reports (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Excel, etc.) and maintain existing reports to support business needs

* Assist management on project work, process development, and process improvement opportunities

* Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements (balance sheet, profit and loss, etc.)

* Serve as a liaison for special projects outside of Finance in coordination with other functions across the organization

* Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

* 2-5 years of experience with SAP or other ERP system(s)

* Experience using SQL with large datasets and data warehouses (Snowflake, HANA, etc.)

* Experience with advanced reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

* Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills

* Excellent communication, planning, and organization

* Possess a high degree of self-motivation and initiative

* Capable of multi-tasking under high pressure

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree (4 years)

* Knowledge acquired through 2 to 5 years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or financial information systems

* Hybrid/Office Environment
