Position Summary:

Account Services Manager is responsible for supervising deposit account quality control and administration for both consumer and business accounts. Work closely with Compliance, Risk Management, and Retail management. Oversee annual account servicing processes such as tax preparation testing and unclaimed property escheatment. Ensure legal requests such as subpoenas, tax levies and writs are accurately processed within compliance deadlines.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, coach and develop staff members to ensure exceptional performance, in the areas of service, growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Reinforce the Credit Union's vision, mission, and values by serving as a culture agent, motivating employees to achieve higher standards and promoting a commitment to excellence in service and technology-driven products and processes.
  • Develop and execute an annual departmental strategic plan to support and contribute to the achievement of the Credit Union's overall strategic initiatives.
  • Manage maintenance, development and writing of operational policies and procedures for all department functions.
  • Coordinate functions and personnel to provide quality, efficient support to other departments and branches of the Credit Union.
  • Manage the daily activities of Account Servicing Associates.
Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure personnel and member related issues are managed in a fair, consistent manner.
  • Exceptional technical skills and ability to work with multiple systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Ability to work 7:30pm Th, 6:30pm Fri, on a rotation basis.
  • Ability to travel.

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Must have prior managerial experience, preferably in a financial institution.
  • Three plus years of deposit account quality control experience preferred.
