- Plan and implement equipment installations for capital projects and plant orders. Specify, order and verify necessary materials. Ensure compliance to specifications.
- Direct outside contractors and maintenance mechanics for installations.
- Startup new and reworked equipment. Trouble shoots system and provides training to plant personnel.
- Assists with the preparation of cost estimates and installation schedules.
- Create and implement new applications/designs/algorithms that improve the performance/efficiency/functionality of new and existing equipment installations.
- In the absence of the Engineering-Maintenance Manager, facilitate and/or direct resolution to issues as it relates to food safety and quality.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring adherence to Food Safety practices and policies
What you bring to the table...
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2 years' experience in supervising employees or contractors
It would be great to have...
- Able to fabricate machine parts and equipment. Includes welding and machining, steel, aluminum, bronze and stainless steel, basic sheet metal operations.
- Able to use hand and powered tools.
- Able to and qualified to install electrical power (4160, 480, 277, 240, 208, and 120 VAC) and control wiring (AC and DC).
- Able to install piping (stainless steel, steel, copper, plastic, aluminum) for processing, Freon, glycol, water, sewer, hydraulic oil and compressed air.
- Able to read blue prints, ladder logic, P&ID's, electrical and piping schematics.
- Proficient in programming PLC's, HMI's, servo drives and electronic controllers.
- Must drive forklift truck.
- Excellent knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)
- Knowledgeable in basic construction methods (concrete, flooring, tile, roofing, plaster)
- Knowledgeable in conveyor applications and construction (belt, table top, pneumatic, vibratory) Knowledgeable in bakery equipment applications and construction.
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $120,000-$172,500
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
