Job Summary

The Data Analyst I supports the institution's student success initiatives, admissions processes, and crossdepartmental data analysis efforts. This entry-level position assists in gathering, organizing, and analyzing data related to student support, admissions pathways, and various academic initiatives. The analyst contributes to improving student services, forecasting admissions trends, and providing data-driven insights to support decision-making across multiple academic and administrative units.

  • Analyzes Student Customer Support Data from OneStop and Salesforce to identify opportunities for improvement in student services and support.
  • Assists in monitoring and evaluating the impact of implemented changes on student enrollment, satisfaction, and academic outcomes by collecting and organizing relevant data.
  • Supports the monitoring and analysis of admissions pathways by gathering data on application trends, acceptance rates, and matriculation patterns.
  • Interprets predictive models to forecast the quality and size of incoming cohorts.
  • Helps create and maintain dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to student support, admissions, and financial aid.
  • Provides data analytics support for the offices of admission, registrars, financial aid and scholarships by preparing regular reports and responding to basic data requests.
  • Assists in the analysis of student retention data, identifying factors that may influence student persistence and success.
  • Supports the analysis of admissions marketing campaigns by gathering data on their reach and effectiveness in attracting qualified applicants.
  • Supports the evaluation of financial aid and scholarship programs by gathering data on their impact on student enrollment and academic performance.
  • Helps analyze the effectiveness of student support initiatives by compiling data on usage rates, student feedback, and academic outcomes.
  • Assists in identifying trends in student inquiries and support requests to inform proactive support strategies.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization.

Desired Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database systems.
