Location: Oakbrook Terrance, IL
Salary: $55.28/hr The Facilities Substation Operations Supervisor is responsible for the onsite safety, direction, execution and completion of facilities substation projects and operations ensuring consistency with ComEd's strategy commitments and goals. Projects include, but are not limited to, roof repairs and replacements, pavement repair replacements, HVAC system repairs and replacements, sump pump repairs and replacements, fence/gate/gate operator repairs and replacements, facade repairs and replacements, door replacements and repair, crane maintenance and winter, summer readiness programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Perform a job brief before work starts. * Have a safe work plan onsite when required. * Provide field verification of onsite conditions. * Provide site assessment and project recommendations. * Define project tasks and resource requirements. * Assist in job scope development. *Manage day to day operational aspects of project and scope. *Must be able to disarm smoke detector systems, understand the operation of fire suppression systems used in substations and when they need to be taken out of service. * Comply with all safety aspects when working in an enclosed cable space within a substation * Must be knowledgeable of all applicable ComEd work procedures, safety rules. Local 15 work practices, OSHA requirements. * Provide overall direction and support to project team. * Implement approved project scope changes by ComEd. * Provide daily progress reports to ComEd along with photos. * Ensure that all vendors or contractors perform work in a safe manner. * Complete all training and safety programs. * Track and report time in Corrigo. * Progress and complete work orders in Corrigo. * Submit weekly expense reimbursements for mileage, parking, and tolls. * Must be available 24/7, Weekend work occasionally. * Special projects and other functions as required by manager or client. * Communicate with the Designated Authority at the OCC/TSO and Exelon Security when needed. * Submit 1 safety audit per week to ComEd. |
