Job Summary
Honors College is looking for an Administrator, Academic Programs that will coordinate and/or direct all aspects of academic-related program(s) and service(s).

About Honors College:
With a current student body of approximately 2400, Auburn University's Honors College serves a select cohort of high-achieving undergraduates who major in scholarly disciplines across the university. The College offers pathways for its students to graduate with distinction in Honors while enjoying benefits such as smaller, discussion-based courses, dynamic experiential learning opportunities, research fellowships, dedicated academic advisors, community-building programming, priority enrollment, access to graduate courses, and unique study-and-travel classes. These various benefits help the College's students forge closer connections with faculty, staff, and other students, providing a small-school community and experience within the larger setting of the University.
The Honors College also houses the National Prestigious Scholarships Program, which supports undergraduate and graduate students across the university.
Located in Cater Hall with a total staff of 13, the Honors College offers a dynamic and friendly work setting, with many students regularly visiting the administrative offices for academic advising and co-curricular programming. Institutionally housed under the Office of the Provost and situated at the intellectual crossroads of the university, the College additionally constitutes a point of contact with all other discipline-based colleges as well as with a range of academic support offices. Its staff are committed to a collaborative and team ethos, supporting each other as they contribute to the College's community and programming while fostering positive relationships with other colleges and offices.

Essential Functions
* Plans, designs, develops, executes, and/or manages strategies and programs for academic-related programs/groups/services (may assist in this function rather than be solely responsible in the lower level jobs of the family).
* Assists program head with a variety of high-level administrative/professional program support responsibilities.
* Coordinates program/services activities to ensure relevant guidelines, specifications, policy and/or procedures are enforced and followed.
* Provides information to and facilitates communication between administrators, faculty, staff, and students concerning program/services.
* Maintains relevant databases to ensure accurate and accessible records.
* May coordinate and organize courses/classes to include activities such as student registration, room scheduling, and ensuring appropriate equipment is available.
* Monitors budget and grant funding and ensures expenditures are within specifications and in line with spending projections; may research, write, submit, and/or administer grants and proposals for submission.
* Prepares, reviews, and edits an assortment of communications through various media outlets.
* Plans and implements the management of resource development activities.

  • Bachelor's Degree - No Specific Discipline. And 3 years of Experience in administrative and financial support services.
  • Ability to work in a diverse population;
  • Ability to multi task;
  • Superior interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Well-developed organizational skills;
  • Computer and online application skills;
  • Strong customer service orientation;
  • Ability to assume responsibility, take initiative, and work independently and in teams;
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with different contingencies including faculty, students, managers, employers.
