OVERVIEW: Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of a variety of financial records. The responsibilities of an Accountant 1 include maintaining the financial records of the company through analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts, as well as preparing reports.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:



  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post entries such as prepaids, inventory, fixed assets, and expense allocations.
  • Perform monthly expense analysis to ensure transactions and accruals are properly recorded.
  • Assist in maintaining schedules for various balance sheet accounts
  • Coordinate with HR on reconciliation of benefit withholdings.
  • Interacts professionally with staff and outside vendors.
  • Accepts and incorporates changes or innovative ideas into daily work.
  • Understands and adheres to policies and procedures.
  • Strives to resolve problems and conflicts on his/her own initiative.
  • Attempts to create innovative ideas or new procedures working as part of a group or individually.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Assist with special projects.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workspace.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and CERTIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting OR 10 years of Accounting experience.


REQUIRED SKILLS and ABILITIES:



  • Good organizational abilities
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting competencies.
  • Proficiency in MS office.


Travel Requirements



  • Overnight travel - 0%
  • In office - 100% or hybrid 2-3 days per week in the office.
  • In field - 0%
