Data Analysis Specialist - Aerospace FLIT

As a Data Analysis Specialist, you will be a member of the PPG Aerospace Front Line IT team supporting the growth of Data Analytics and PowerBi within the Aerospace Business Unit. Your role will be to create, maintain, and enhance product reporting that supports product, customer, and management level dashboards. In this role, you will be expected to provide full stack Data Analytics support from ETL, SQL server development, SQL Analysis Services Data Model Development, to the delivery of reports using Microsoft Power BI.

• Build front-end analytics, reports, and dashboards in PowerBI that drive business process and develop new insight into existing business activities
• Develop and support backend SQL databases, procedures, SSAS Data Models, and support ETL jobs.
• Identify and develop new use cases for Power BI reporting within the global business and production functions of PPG Aerospace
• Ensure the development of data/analytics solutions support scalability, complexity, and established methodologies for ongoing excellence in data consumption. Work with internal Data Analytics COEs to align on best practices.
• Collaborate with Business SMEs, customers, and product stakeholders to provide designs that leverage customer requirements, system interfaces, and other available technologies to meet product goals.
• Grow the Data Analytics practice within Aerospace by working with business functions, platforms, and leadership to identify key metrics and to standardize reporting across Aerospace locations.

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience showcasing 3+ years' experience in advanced data analytics and report design and development
• Possess 3+ years of experience working with PowerBI developing reports, dashboards, and datasets. Minimum of 2 years' experience working with data modeling tools like SSAS.
• Advanced Microsoft SQL Server development experience including the ability to write T-SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions that exhibit and understanding of good code quality standards and/or best practices.
• Strong functional and analysis skills to build requirements and modern reports/metrics from historical business processes and data tracking methods.
• Ability to lead medium sized projects, gather requirements, build timelines, and communicate project status to all stakeholders
• Must be willing to participate in a hybrid workplace with a minimum 3 days in the office
• Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident
