What part will you play?

The Staff Accountant/Analyst will be a key member of the revenue accounting team and is responsible for assisting in the preparation of various monthly reports. As part of the role, the person will assist with reporting and analysis for the Company's revenue accounting to ensure accuracy in accordance with United States generally accepted accounting principles ("US GAAP'). Responsibilities also include coordinating with internal teams to provide meaningful and accurate financial information and maintain compliance with internal controls over revenue recognition.

Impact:

This position will have a direct role in supporting revenue accounting policies that will impact the financial well-being of the company. Additionally, this position will be responsible for helping to ensure that our financial transactions are accurate.

What will you be doing?




  • Collaborate with internal teams on revenue reporting and analysis
  • Assist with analyzing project and non-project revenue accounts for accuracy
  • Assist with researching revenue account balance issues and determining root cause


  • Assist with researching GL account activity in balance sheet reconciliations
  • Perform uploading of financial data into ERP system
  • Support moderately complex projects by analyzing data and preparing reports


  • Work with non-finance associates to maintain project data hygiene


  • Assist project teams with questions or needs related to cost transfers and project closure
  • Review and Understand contract compliance requirements for assigned projects


  • Close out project accounts upon project completion


  • Participate in month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting activities.
  • Support the implementation of process improvements
  • Assist with compiling information for internal and external audit


What do we require from you?
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:



  • Previous experience in project accounting or construction accounting
  • General understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Knowledge of project contracts and change order documents.
  • Proficiency in journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and prevent errors or discrepancies in financial information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to identify the root cause of problems and propose solutions to correct issues.
  • Able to work independently and with others, to contribute to team goals.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities while working remotely (if necessary).
  • Must maintain high ethical standards, meet confidentiality requirements, to ensure the security and privacy of financial data.
  • Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial management tools.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Excel: advanced spreadsheet skills including but not limited to: Pivot Tables and Lookups.
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus.


Education/Certification/License Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Preferred:


    • Certification (or working toward) such as CPA, CA, or CMA.



Working Experience



  • 2+ years' experience working in project accounting. 1-2 years of experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
