Job Description

Do you enjoy being on the move? Passionate about delivering on speed, quality, & service? We're excited to recruit a Messenger to support our Lab Medicine team.

Role Overview:
    Pick up and delivers mail to/from Main Campus mailroom and other designated locations
  • Retrieve and deliver medical instruments to Central Sterile Processing on a daily basis at designated pick up times
  • Transport all materials (e.g., specimens, mail, treatments, etc.) from off-site locations to designated locations in an approved container
  • Communicate professionally and politely with hospital staff and patients
  • Respond affirmatively to pick-up requests for off-site locations and from within Main Campus
  • Answer the phone clearly and professionally, identifying self and location
  • Obtain all the required information from the caller (e.g., name of caller, time of the call, extension caller is calling from, item being picked up, area item is being picked up from, name of recipient, stat/hand deliver)
Key Qualifications:
  • Motivated to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Action oriented and eager to tackle new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Adaptable in your approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations
  • A good decision maker, with proven success of making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
  • Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
  • Committed to high standards of productivity
Core Skills:
  • Courier experience a plus
  • Great customer service, dedicated, motivated, and hard-working
  • Knowledge of basic internet navigation and e-mail

Additional Information:

  • Location: 327 East 64th St (Lab Med)
  • Schedule: Full-Time; 4:00pm to 12:00am with Wednesday and Thursday off.

Pay Range $21.95-$28.16
