Job Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring milestones and program requirements are completed according to the schedule and ensuring accurate reporting and execution of the program management system. Assignments will have a strong emphasis on coordination and execution of cross functional projects that impact all aspects of digital development, both technical and business related. The individual will be responsible for developing reporting tools, scheduling updates, dashboards, and presentations to support executive level decision making.

Key Accountabilities



  • Lead the execution of digital projects to achieve the project general schedule and specified action plan. Use technical expertise to develop resolutions to schedule delays/concerns from manufacturing overlaps from tool sets and projects with guidance from Unit Lead or assigned mentor
  • Collaborate and lead communications with all related groups within Digital innovation, Global and Local Honda, Local and Global Suppliers. Communicate project status to all levels of management. Drive daily/weekly meetings and coordination with support groups and other ADC BU's.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project so that project goals and targets can be successfully achieved. Expected to negotiate and influence outcomes with cross functional teams, suppliers, Japanese counterparts with the guidance of the Unit Lead or assigned mentor.
  • Develop tools, processes, and key KPIs for executive level transparency into program performance and execution
  • Statement of Work (SOW), including acceptance criteria, for Outside Supplier
  • Expected to grow New Model knowledge, skill, develop expertise, and build proficiency in New Model activity.


Qualifications, Experience and Skills



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in design, manufacturing, and/or maturation methods for equipment manufacturing or relevant years of experience in Engineering/Production
  • Project Management certification, MS Office, Communication - Public Speaking/Presentation skills, Problem solving and decision making, & Interaction with executive level management.


Workstyle



  • Work is primarily conducted at an office desk. Some time is spent at test facilities for collaboration.
  • Hybrid (office/home) work is available.
  • Travel and overtime are occasionally required.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with demanding customers and critical deadlines.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends based on deadlines (usually at budget events).
  • Must be able to work on site at plant.
