Ski perks (vary based on employment status) may include Deer Valley season pass, free skiing or riding at other Alterra Resorts and select local Utah resorts Friends and family ski discounts, free staff ski lessons and discounted rentals (winter staff only) Subsidized meals at Employee Dining Rooms offered for staff while on shift Subsidized housing options available for seasonal full-time staff Discounts for staff members at restaurants, shops, and service providers in Park City Healthcare options are available for staff members 401k plan with company match PURPOSE OF POSITION: A host is responsible for assisting managers with properly greeting and seating tables to ensure that all guests have an exceptional experience when dining in The Brass Tag Restaurant. RESPONSIBILITIES: Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival to the restaurant When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and phone number of people in party Provide guests with estimated waiting time, maintaining a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with impatient guests Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible Seat guests based on guest preferences and balance of customer flow in service stations Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed Clean and organize menus Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return Assist with special events as needed Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: One year of host experience preferred Possess a Utah Food Handlers certification Able to frequently walk and/or stand for long periods of time Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
